What is a flight of fancy?

New for 2024 the distillery now offers a self-guided tasting flight, no booking required and open to all (as long as you're 18 or over).

You are invited to taste our premium organic alcohol, single distillates of the botanicals that make gin and taste a variety of locally distilled Aberdeen Gins. We say self-guided, though while we have material to guide you through your tasting, the owners will actually be on hand to answer questions you might have about the gins or anything you'd like to know about the distillery.

What does it involve?

Meet the makers and explore the flavours of gin. A rare treat: try our premium organic base spirit followed by the core gin botanicals - Juniper, Coriander, and Angelica. Next, taste four Aberdeen Gins from the range before finally concluding with a G&T of your choice. Alternative mixers are available.

Following payment at the door, take a seat at the gin making bench and your stations will be made up. Water is available throughout. You will then be guided through the format of the tasting. If you prefer a different mixer, like lemonade or soda, please make us aware at the start.

How long does it last?

We'd recommend allowing approximately 20-30 minutes for the tasting flight, though it may be up to 40 minutes depending on questions. If you allow an hour, then you should be fine.
